Frequently Asked Questions

What is the V-CAT program?

V-CAT (Virtual Consultation, Assessment and Therapy) is Special Learning's end-to-end remote ABA program. It provides comprehensive behavior analysis services delivered virtually, including initial assessment, individualized treatment planning, ongoing therapy sessions, caregiver training, and progress monitoring. All services are led by BACB-certified behavior analysts.

Is V-CAT free?

V-CAT offers a free 60-minute initial consultation with a BCBA to discuss your needs and determine if the program is right for your family. The V-CAT therapy program itself is a paid service. Pricing is discussed during the initial consultation based on your specific needs and goals.

Who provides V-CAT services?

All V-CAT services are provided by BACB-certified behavior analysts (BCBAs and BCaBAs) with clinical experience in autism, early intervention, and applied behavior analysis.

How does remote ABA therapy work?

V-CAT delivers ABA therapy through secure video sessions. Your BCBA conducts assessments, develops individualized behavior intervention plans, provides direct therapy sessions, trains caregivers on implementation strategies, and monitors progress through regular data review. Families participate from home, which allows the BCBA to observe and address behaviors in the natural environment.

Who is V-CAT for?

V-CAT serves families of individuals with autism and developmental disabilities who need ABA therapy but may not have access to quality providers in their area. It is also for families who prefer the convenience and natural-environment advantages of remote therapy. V-CAT is available internationally.
