Special Learning, Inc. Launches New Instructor Webcast Series to Offer Training to Educators on Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) Techniques


Special Learning Inc., the leading global provider in special education technology applications and educational resources used in teaching children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), is launching its newest product in innovative teaching webcasts. The Instructor Training Webcast Series provides easy to understand and up-to-date information on how to implement techniques used in applied behavioral analysis therapy (ABA) to teach individuals with autism. This monthly series is designed to deliver the key principles associated with ABA in an easily comprehensible way that will give all teachers, teaching aides and new behavioral therapists a thorough understanding of the strategies of ABA and how to execute successful programming within any setting.

Special Learning aims to provide skilled training and resources that promote the best possible education and therapy for individuals with ASD. The Instructor Training Webcast Series is a resource that offers training and information on the application of ABA principles and techniques. It fills in the knowledge gaps and allows dedicated teachers, aides, behavioral therapists, and other interested caregivers to learn how to deliver the programming necessary to achieve the best outcomes for individuals with ASD.

The Instructor Training Webcast Series simplifies the process of ABA and provides easy to follow guidelines on how instructors can apply its model to teaching individuals with ASD. Through detailed discussions, video demonstrations, and life exercises, participants will learn ways in which they can adapt their teaching styles to best suit the individualized needs of the individuals they are serving. Instructors will come away with a solid understanding of how to use ABA effectively in any teaching curriculum.

On August 29th, Special Learning will broadcast four live webcast trainings on fundamental ABA principles: Pairing reinforcement with learning; Increasing desired behaviors; Decreasing difficult behaviors; and Errorless teaching and prompting.

This course gives an overview of the concept of pairing reinforcement with instruction. Participants will learn how to identify successful ways to pair themselves and fun together to make learning an enjoyable experience for any child.

This course provides training on implementing the errorless teaching strategy. Through detailed discussion and video demonstrations, participants will learn how various prompting strategies and prompt fading procedures can increase independent skills.

This course provides information on different ways to use positive reinforcement to increase desired behaviors. Participants will learn how to identify ways to teach new skills and the most effective ways of reinforcing different individuals.

This course provides training on strategies and techniques used to manage and decrease problem behaviors. Participants will learn various schedules of reinforcement that can reduce these types of behaviors, as well as how to create replacement skills for challenging behaviors.
