Dr. Rice has been in the teaching profession for over 25 years. She began as a general education teacher and initially became interested in Special Education due to her daughter’s autism diagnosis.

Dr. Rice started her Special Ed. career as an Autism specialist in the district she was teaching. Due to her dedication and desire to see people with autism lead better lives, she poured herself into the field and quickly became an instructional coach to other teachers to help then understand how to reach students with Autism and other educational impacting disabilities.

Dr. Rice takes a student-centric approach to her activities. She achieves success by considering the student above all else and focussing on how best to serve their needs.

In the spirit of dedication to seeing people with Special needs lead better lives, Dr. Rice did her PhD research with an intervention approach to try to demystify how to intervene when students have a phonological disorder.
